It has been about a month since we went to Florida. Since we just got our camera back in the mail, we now have all of the pictures: over 1,000 pictures were taken (I really love my camera). Even though it has been over a month, I figured I would still share some of them. So for the next week, I will share one day at a time.
Late Tuesday night, we started our adventure at about 10:00 pm by driving to Portland. After a 3 1/2 hour drive and a stop at Shari's for some breakfast, we made our way to the airport.
We spent the entire day traveling. After not sleeping much the night before, it made for a long day. Although we were anxious to get there, some of us found a few minutes to get some sleep in:
While others found different ways to pass the time:
Although we were tired by the time we got to Florida, we were so excited to be there that it didn't really seem to matter. Going to Disney World is probably my favorite vacation to take. . . maybe I am still a kid at heart. . . but there is something about stepping off of the plane into the hot and muggy Florida weather, knowing that you have a week ahead of you that you can relax, not have to think about anything but what to do next, and just taking a step back into the care-free world of being a kid that makes me happy just thinking about it.
We stayed at the All-Star Disney Music Resort: one of my favorite places to stay. We were greeted to a red carpet, employees clapping and welcoming us, and even these:
While our suitcases were being delivered to our room, we didn't want to waste any time, so we made our way to the Rainforest Cafe for some dinner. One of the nice things about Disney World is the transportation from one place to another: it is so easy! Just hop onto a bus, and you can go anywere.
We decided to cut the night short and get some rest for a busy day ahead at Universal Studios. We were in for a busy week ahead, but every minute was nothing but fun!
