Day 5: Animal Kingdom

The top ten reasons why Animal Kingdom is my second favorite park (in no particular order):

1. They have a safari ride that is amazing, where you can see all sorts of cool animals just roaming around.

2. The fact that each part of the park is themed like a different continent (Africa, Asia, etc), and that the detail they put into each one is incredible.

3. They actually have a roller coaster that I liked.

4. This parade:

5. They have a ride, based off of dinosaurs, that I absolutely love.

6. This Lion King show is probably one of my top 5 favorite things to do in Florida: it's amazing.

7. Turkey legs. This picture probably explains enough.

8. They had a ton of my favorite animals: monkeys.

9. The tree of life.

10. And again, some great picture spots.

Day 4: Magic Kingdom

So are you getting sick of these yet?

'You' being. . . I'm not really sure. Does anyone read this thing anyway? If you do, you should let me know. . . so I'm not 'talking' to myself. :)

Anyway, back to Florida.

When Sunday came about, I was a happy person. Why? Because we were going to my favorite park: Magic Kingdom.

Remember when I wrote about loving Disney World because it makes you feel like a kid again? Well this is THE place to do that. Sure the other parks are just as fun, and have their own perks, but this is the one that I magane to look forward to every time we go.

It is at this park that you can see those well-known characters walking around, stand in line just to fly away in a ship to Neverland, and see all of the little girls running around in their princess dresses. And the best part is that you have an excuse to be excited about all of it.

Like I mentioned before, everyone around this place is so friendly, just like this guy:

Overall during the week we got very lucky with the amount of people that were there: the first few days especially, hardly anyone was there.

But as the day went on, it began to get pretty busy, as it was prime Spring Break time.

On Tuesday, the day before we left, they actually closed one the parks because it physically had too many people in it. Good thing we had gotten everything done by then.

But we still had fun.

The crowd did quickly clear when it started pouring down rain; however. And yes, we were part of that crowd. It began raining probably the hardest I've ever seen, and because the park was open until 3 am that day (thanks to extra magic hours), we figured we would go back if the rain had let up.

So we ventured downtown: where all the shopping is.

Now, it was Tommy's turn to be in Heaven with all of the lego figures, and even an entire lego store.

Later that night, as the rain did let up a little, we were back to the park for some fireworks and a parade.

And yes, we did end up staying in the park until 3 am. :)

Day 3: Islands of Adventure

Back to Universal Studios we went when Saturday rolled around. This time, we went to the other half of the park: Islands of Adventure.

The park is themed off of Superheroes:

Cartoons:

And Dr. Seuss:

Thank goodness it was a nice sunny day, because there are lots of rides that manage to get you wet.

But luckily we were prepared, and brought a change of clothes.

One of my favorite things about this park is that it has such a variety of things to do: a little something for everyone. You can find things that will throw you upside down, such as Kelsey's favorite:

And things that aren't quite as thrilling, but just fun to do.

There are also a lot of good places for photo-ops, so here you go:
