We're Still Here . . .

I am obviously incredibly behind in posting. We have had a very busy 3 weeks, to say the least, and I have so much to post about I honestly don't know where to begin. I will just go ahead and recap as much as I can think about at this point, but there are more detailed posts to come . . . Promise.

** Christmas was wonderful. It's kind of weird how it feels like just a week ago and months ago, all at the same time. I was kindly reminded; however, how recent it really was by returning home from our cruise to all of my Christmas decorations still up. . . One of the many things I have to tackle on my 'to do' list. But we were spoiled, once again, and were glad we could make time to spend with everyone. On Christmas Eve we celebrated with Joel's family, and Christmas Day was spent partly at my parent's house, at our good friend's house, and my grandparent's house. Although I did manage to catch the nasty bug that seemed to be going around later Christmas Day, we had a wonderful time with everyone. Like I say, more details and pictures to come.

** The week between Christmas and New Years Eve was filled with 'last minute' details, as I like to call them, for the wedding. Making sure everything was ready to go, finishing projects that I had honestly forgotten I planned to do, etc. This was also the point when family started arriving into town, and we are still so thankful they went so out of their way to make it to our special day!

** Before we knew it, it was Thursday, December 30th, and time to set up for our wedding. We spent the day decorating, and again were so thankful for all of the people that came out and offered their help. We couldn't have done it without them. Everything went smoothly, and I was so happy with how everything turned out. I discovered it's a little tricky trying to get a picture in your head portrayed to everyone else and make it happen, but in the end, everything looked great.

** That night was spent at our rehearsal . . .

. . . and rehearsal dinner.

** December 31st came, and everything went as smoothly as we could have hoped. I will share a lot more details and pictures from the wedding obviously, but we had a great time, and couldn't have asked for a better day!

** The next day was spent with friends and family again, with lunch and some opening of gifts. Again, we were compltely spoiled.

** We left for our honeymoon on January 7th by first driving to Portland. We spent the night and flew out the next day, ready to board our cruise in San Diego, CA. We spent 7 blissful days cruising to Mexico, and trust me, I have plenty of pictures to share from our wonderful vacation.

And now we are back, and slowly trying to get everything back together again. The upcoming 'To Do' list seems massive at this point, but we are looking forward to piecing our house back together again.

And once again, I know this is a little late, but . . .

Happy New Year!
