It's Almost Here!

It's no secret to those who know me know that I absolutely love the fall. While most people become depressed as the weather turns gray, I am the complete opposite.

As I sit here on a dreary morning, drinking my first cup of homeade coffee for the season and watching The Gilmore Girls, I realize how close it is.

From late September until early January, I am a very happy person. I love everything that comes alongside the season: the weather, the holidays, the decorations . . .

It's no lie that I absolutely love the cold weather. I would much rather be found wearing sweatshirts and jeans instead of shorts and tank tops. I love the cool, crisp air that comes with it, and watching the leaves turn multiple colors. I love the jackets, and really all the clothes that go with it.

I love that the stores are filled with pumpkins, leaves, browns and oranges. Having a house this year has made it even that much better, and trust me, I have began buying the decorations to fill it. Halloween candy is already lining the isles, and although it's not my favorite holiday, it simply makes me happy because it means fall is here.

I love that the small talk in my family has turned to which Pittsburgh Steelers are being traded to and from the team. Football season is here, and I couldn't be happier. (Another post about those Steelers games to come.)

All of the signs are begging to appear, and fall is just around the corner. And because we are just beginning to hit the season, I have so many things to look forward to:

Pumpkin spite lattes . . . Trips to the Country Mercantile . . .Cute jackets . . . Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins . . . Christmas music . . . Halloween movies . . . Hot chocolate . . . Being cozy with a blanket and a good book . . . Cold weather . . . The list is endless.

And plus, the fall season means that winter is next.

And winter means Christmas, New Years, and a wedding . . .

. . . which makes it all the better this year.
